Dear awesome ActionVFX users,

As we approach the end of 2023 and the festive season, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey together this past year.

First, I acknowledge that 2023 was a challenging year for the VFX industry. The 2 major strikes significantly impacted many of you, leading to job losses and studio closures. I am glad that these strikes are now behind us, and I pray things pick back up early next year.

The strikes and the state of our economy definitely made this a hard year for us, but despite the challenges, we've had many significant milestones at ActionVFX. 

Halfway through the year we redesigned our entire website, the first significant upgrade in seven years! Our goal is to be the best platform for VFX artists, and while there were some inevitable bugs after launching a redesign at this scale, our new website got us one step closer to that vision! Many more updates and improvements planned next year!

A personal highlight for me was the launch of our free Practice Footage Library. Seeing thousands of you download and use these plates for skill enhancement has been incredibly rewarding. Almost everyday I’m on LinkedIn or our Discord I see our users sharing their creations with this footage, and it’s truly humbling!


We also expanded our offerings with the 3D Assets Library, bringing our commitment to quality to the 3D realm. Your positive response to our animated VDBs has been a source of motivation, and we're excited to explore this further in 2024.


Lastly, December saw the launch of 6 new products that were created by you, our talented community members! We’ve always planned to one day leverage our brand and open up our platform to allow talented artists and filmmakers to sell their products on ActionVFX. I’m not just excited that the day has finally come, but that we’ve figured out a way to do that without sacrificing the quality you’ve come to expect from ActionVFX!

Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited to bring you more innovative products and opportunities to sell your work on The ActionVFX Marketplace.
